RELIGION FOLLOWED IN CHINA:-
Buddism, Taoism , Confucianism are the main religions in China. These are three local religions with the history of thousands of years. Confucianism contains the teachings of confucius, a great philosopher and educator in China.
LANGUAGES SPOKEN IN CHINA:-
20th April is celebrated as Chinese Language day. The national language of China is standard Chinese which is also known as Mnadarin Chinese. Linguists predict that there are 297 living languages in China.
TRADITIONAL CLOTHING:-
DINING ETIQUETTE:-
- We should not stick the chop sticks straight up in the rice bowl and we should not tap the rice bowl with the chopsticks.
- Before we serve to ourselves we should serve to others who are eating with us.
- While having meal, we should only concentrate on the meal and we should not do second work like, watching T.V and using mobile phone.
- At restaurants, when waitress/waiter pours tea in our cup we can tap the table with first two fingers for 2or 3 times, it indicates that we saying thanks to them.
- Picking up so much of food at a time indicates bad manners.
- Most Chinese restaurants refuse to take tips.
- During their meeting Chinese people nod or bow instead of shaking hands.
- Shaking hands is becoming more habituated now a days, in China.
- While introducing , male person should be introduced first to the female.
- When we are introduced to Chinese group , they will greet us with applause and we should applaud back.
